$240,000 Grant Award February 08

The Falmouth Artists Guild received notice on Valentine’s Day that it had been awarded a grant of $240,000 from the Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund (CFF). "This additional CFF funding demonstrates the (state) Legislature’s commitment to our creative economy, and its role in attracting visitors to Massachusetts, stimulating tourism, creating jobs and bolstering our economy," said MassDevelopment President/CEO and CFF Advisory Committee Chair Robert L. From Possibility to Reality

Summer is around the corner and the Falmouth Artists Guild is buzzing with new exhibits, classes, and workshops for all people: young children and retirees, new students and seasoned artists, photographers and sculptors. Children’s classes are a specialty and have sold out in the past. Classes are offered during school vacations or in the summer season. Falmouth High School art students have a special wall at the Guild on which to display their artwork. The October Falmouth Artist Guild member, teacher, and artist Robert Brower Mesrop vividly remembers receiving a wooden box of Weber oil paints as a gift from his parents about 63 years ago.
