Show Prospectus - 2008
July 29 – August 24 Summer Juried Show

Receiving:July 22 (Tues.), 10am-3pm and July 23 (Wed.), 10am-6:30pm

Award Reception Friday, August 1, 4-6 PM. Everyone is cordially invited. Awards will be presented during the reception.

Pick up: Unaccepted works should be picked up by Tuesday, July 29th.
Dates: Accepted works should be picked up by August 26. Please note: Due to limited storage space, a $1 per day storage fee may be charged for works left after the final pick up date. Works not picked up in 30 days are eligible to become property of the Falmouth Artists Guild.

Eligibility: Artwork must be less than two years old. Artists may submit any number of original works of art (not copied, reproduced, or works done in classes) in the following fine arts categories: drawing, painting, printmaking, graphics, sculpture and pastels, not previously juried in a Guild show. While fiber arts or photography are not eligible in this show, all media is welcome in the Fall Juried Show. No more than two entries per artist will be accepted into the show. There is a submission fee – see below. Accepted works are at the discretion of the juror; it is a subjective process and the Artists Guild does not influence the juror. A list of accepted works will be posted on the website and in the Guild window. For those who provide a stamped return envelope, the carbonless copy of each entry form will be mailed back to the artist indicating whether the work was accepted or not accepted. Not all submissions are accepted in a juried show.

Fees: Members of the Falmouth Artists Guild may enter pieces for $7.00 per entry. Non-members are required to pay $14.00 per entry. All the fees are non-refundable. Thank you for your support.

Sales: All entries must be valued, even if marked NFS (not for sale). The Guild gratefully retains a commission of 30% from members and 50% from non-members for all works sold.

Requirements: All two-dimensional works must be framed with screw-eyes and wires attached (about 1 inch from the top of the frame). Any work normally glassed and exceeding 28 inches in either dimension must be under plexi-glass only, with the exception of pastel. All entries must be hand delivered to 311R Main St. and be ready for display. Work not ready will be excluded from the show with the loss of hanging fee.
