2 week advanced registration required to order glass & cutting tools.
Learn about designing and making dichroic glass pendants and earrings. The work shop will run for 2 SESSIONS, 2 1/2
hours each. Students will take home 3 projects. Dichroic glass is a high tech glass that was originally made for space exploration and similar to the glass in camera lenses. Metallic oxides are lasered on in a vacuum chamber. We will take colored glass and dichroic glass and design, cut, grind and put together pendants and earrings. I will fire your glass at about 1400 F for 6 hrs. Students will then finish the pieces with sterling or gold plated bails, attach earring wires and put on satin cords. Tools & materials will be supplied.
$60. material fee is due to instructor at the first class.
