Artists working in other mediums are welcome to join this workshop if they would like to experience painting on location.
Have you ever thought about painting outdoors but just didn’t know how to prepare or where to begin once you arrived on site? As a year round “en plein air painter”, I will share helpful suggestions so you can turn painting outdoors into a rewarding and fun experience. This workshop will begin with a partial day session where we plan for painting outdoors, allowing you to concentrate on painting the next day. This planning session will allow you to consider whether you need to supplement your materials with household items before we head out. On the second day, we will meet on location in the morning and return to the Guild in the afternoon for studio time , discussion and critique.
Students will receive a supplies list which will include basic art supplies and items necessary for painting on location.
Some art materials will be available for sale by the instructor.
